2.    Decorating Sugar Cookies

Like making gingerbread houses, baking and decorating sugar cookies is a great holiday tradition that many people look forward to once the weather outside starts to get truly frightful. There’s nothing like the smell of fresh-baked sugar cookies while you and the family put up all of the holiday gear. And while decorating is fun, eating the cookies afterwards is even better! 3.    Holiday Lights

If the cold weather and in-door activities are giving you a bit of cabin fever, jump in your car and head to the nearest Candy Cane Lane. There are several places around the Seattle and Bellevue areas that have whole neighborhoods lit up with fantastic holiday lights, but none like the famous Candy Cane Lane, established in 1949 in the Ravenna neighborhood. If you wanted to stay more local though, chances are that your neighborhood or one nearby have something similar to Candy Cane Lane, but on a much smaller scale.
